ViXS Systems to integrate SypherMedia Security Technology

SypherMedia International’s SypherMedia GateKeyper and SypherMedia Kernel to be Integrated into ViXS Systems Inc. Software Solutions to Provide Enhanced next generation Security

TORONTO — ViXS Systems Inc., the leader in highly innovative and advanced networked multimedia today announced that it has added SypherMedia International’s (“SMI”) SypherMedia GateKeyper™ (SMG) and SypherMedia Kernel™ (SMK) technologies into its recently announced Xtensive™ applications developer software suite for its multimedia System on Chip (“SoC”) solutions. The addition of the SMI technologies will assist conditional access providers in utilizing the recently announced Cryptography Research International (“CRI”) CryptoFirewall™ tamper proof security core that will be integrated into ViXS System on Chip ICs starting with the XCode 4000 family.

The SMG™ is a security key management and distribution system that can be incorporated into content distribution Headend systems. The SMK™ is a secure key injection software core that will be integrated into ViXS Systems Inc.’s Xtensive™ software developer’s toolkit.
