Microtune and Samsung Electro-Mechanical Form Strategic Supply Relationship

Samsung TV Will Be Featured in Microtune Demonstrations at International CES Show in Las Vegas, NV, January 7-10, 2010

PLANO, Texas — Microtune®, Inc. (NASDAQ: TUNE) today announced that it has entered into a strategic supply agreement with Samsung Electro Mechanical Co., Ltd. (Samsung). Microtune is shipping its high-performance tuners which are currently deployed by Samsung Electro Mechanical Co. in production-ready, modular electronics subsystems for digital television (DTV) product lines.

Microtune, inventor of the patented single-chip TV silicon tuner, supplies radio frequency (RF) and digital signal components, including tuners, demodulators and receivers, to the worldwide digital televisions markets. The Company’s customer-hardened products, recognized for their superior performance and reliability, enable television manufacturers to deliver high-quality off-air and cable reception in DTVs across global standards and product lines.
