Alticast Exhibits its Latest Technologies for Interactive TV at IBC 2007
Wednesday, August 29th, 2007Seoul, Korea — Alticast will reveal its latest technologies for interactive TV based on open standards during this year’s IBC2007 Conference (Hall 1, Booth 1.340), which takes places in Amsterdam at the RAI Convention Center from September 7-11, 2007. Now, in its 40th year, IBC is the paramount event for showcasing the creation, management and delivery of content for the entertainment industry.
For the first time in public, Alticast will demonstrate its next-generation altiExcite channel navigation solution, created for VOD, PVOD, NVOD and other broadcast content. The altiExcite navigation suite offers unparalleled channel navigation speeds and can run in most set-top box environments.
Alticast will also introduce new technologies that significantly improve existing IPTV services. Specifically, the “altiTOK TV Plus” solution, which enables video services in a non-QoS network environment using DnP (Download-and-Play), as well as Push VOD (PVOD) technologies. This technology dramatically improves download times for on-demand programs and compelling interactive TV services.
“Alticast is very excited about this year’s exhibition at IBC. In this fast paced Digital TV world, Alticast continues to present great technology and innovation for the industry and is clearly out to impress”, said Mr. Anthony Smith-Chaigneau, Managing Director of Alticast, GmbH. “During the past year, we have significantly improved and expanded both our technology solutions and strategic partnerships.”
Alticast Corporation has been focusing on interactive data broadcasting since it was established in 1999. Based on our highly experienced technologies, Alticast has acquired an excellent reputation as an iTV platform solutions and service provider. This event is expected to showcase Alticast’s aptitude as a leader in the field of digital broadcasting.
