1 in 5 Dutch households has a hard disk recorder

The Dutch Audience Research Foundation – Stichting KijkOnderzoek (SKO) – has published the results of its annual ‘Establishment Survey’ conducted in collaboration with Intomart GfK.
According to the survey:
- Penetration of digital TV in the Netherlands has increased from 41.3% in 2008 to 50.8% in the second half of 2009.
- The proportion of Dutch households with a hard disk recorder increased from 14.7% (2008) to 21.6% in the second half of 2009.
- Watching television programs on the internet continued to grow strongly in 2009, increasing from 27% to 34.9%.
