EchoStar Europe (Stand #6) Will Demonstrate the Benefits of a Broadband-Enabled, Multi-Device, Content-Delivery Strategy to Cable Operators at Cable Congress 2010 in Brussels

EchoStar Europe’s latest fully integrated SlingLoaded™ place-shifting and home networking platform will feature alongside a complete range of advanced set-top boxes (STBs) and digital video recorders (DVRs) for cable operators.

EchoStar Europe will demonstrate products that enable operators to capture customers cost effectively and to grow ARPU by delivering multiple revenue enhancing services. In partnership with Sling Media, Inc., EchoStar Europe will showcase its latest fully integrated SlingLoaded product platform. The products have been specifically developed to bring the benefits of market-tested place-shifting and home-networking technology to the digital TV market, allowing consumers to watch television on any broadband-enabled device.

  • Live showcase of the SlingLoaded 600 series — this flexible product platform is EchoStar’s latest fully-integrated SlingLoaded unit that enables operators to deliver a compelling TV Everywhere strategy. Through SlingLoaded, consumers can watch TV from any location inside or outside the home, on any Sling-enabled device including mobile phones, laptops and ancillary television sets. The solution presents operators with the ability to develop new revenues while providing their customers with greater flexibility to embrace on-the-move lifestyles.
  • Live demonstration of the HDC-600 series — this unit is EchoStar’s flagship platform for cable operators. The unit offers a wealth of flexibility including either a DOCSIS®-enabled return path or an IP-based high-speed, high-bandwidth return channel. The product also supports both broadcast and two-way/interactive cable services, such as video-on-demand, as well as DVR features. The unit is compatible with the industry’s leading middleware solutions including MHP software and offers a graphically rich and enhanced user-friendly EPG designed to navigate content delivered from multiple sources.
  • Live demonstration of the cost effective C-200 digital converter STB — enabling cable operators to employ a fast, efficient and cost effective migration strategy for converting existing analogue subscribers to digital television services.
