S3 and Nagravision Deliver Pre-Integrated Software To Pay TV Operators and STB Manufacturers

IBC, Amsterdam — Silicon & Software Systems (S3) today announced that it signed an agreement with Nagravision, a Kudelski Group (SWX:KUD) company, to provide highly integrated software solutions to the pay TV operator and Set-Top Box (STB) manufacturer markets. This collaboration will mean faster time-to-market for both Nagravision and S3 customers by offering a pre-integrated software solution that includes Nagravision’s NagraGuide applications and S3’s coLinkTV™ solution.

S3’s coLinkTV software product delivers Set-Top Box manufacturers and pay TV operators key adaptation software required to rapidly deploy secure, interactive high definition (HD) STB and digital video recorder (DVR) solutions for cable, satellite and IPTV networks. coLinkTV has now been extended to support NagraGuide. NagraGuide is a powerful suite of interactive applications designed with HD and SD user interfaces. It was specifically created to make the most of
today’s DVR Set-Top Boxes integrated with Nagravision’s conditional access system supporting pay TV services like Subscription Video-on-Demand (VOD), PushVOD, PullVOD, and Pay-Per-View (PPV). NagraGuide was designed and developed by Nagravision to guide subscribers through the huge choice of digital TV channels. NagraGuide provides extensive search capability making it easier for the user to find out what they want to watch and help them quickly choose how and when they want to watch it.
