DMX Launches WinCE-based Digital Video Middleware Client Release
Tuesday, June 19th, 2007SINGAPORE — Singapore Exchange (“SGX”) Mainboard-listed DMX Technologies Group Limited (‘DMX’ or the ‘Group”), a leading information technology enabler that provides a wide range of digital media software and solution, network infrastructure solution and services to service providers and corporate customers across Asia, today announced the launch of Microsoft Windows CE based Vision TV client by it subsidiary, BEE MediaSoft Limited (“BEE”).
Vision TV is a TV middleware developed by BEE. This new Vision TV client runs on Windows CE based set-top boxes. On top of the same functionalities and benefits in other client releases. Vision TV WinCE Client providers an access for service extension to .NET-based applications such as Instant Messaging and other Peer-to-Peer applications.
“We are excited to accomplish this key product development milestone,” said Ms. Jismyl Teo, Chief Executive Officer of DMX. “The new client release cements a solid foundation for us to expand the scope of functionality and features of TV service offered by Vision TV.”
Vision TV WinCE Client is designed to facilitate Internet TV service providers who serve PC users by adopting Microsoft Windows Media and DRM technologies for digital video service delivery, to expand their customer base to households using set-top-boxes for service delivery.
“We aspire to provide a TV middleware with innovative features that runs on a variety of operating and client environments so as to offer the maximum flexibility and applicability to TV service providers, and bring better TV experience to viewers.” added Ms. Teo.
This project has no material impact on the Group’s revenue and profit for FY2007.
