ADB adds Top Up TV to its i-CAN Easy HD DVB-T2 set-top box

Freeview HD, Sky Sports 1 & 2, ESPN, BBC iPlayer and G.O.L.D Plus offer a compelling consumer TV experience

GENEVA, Switzerland and LONDON, UK — Advanced Digital Broadcast (SIX:ADBN) announced today an agreement with Top Up TV that allows Freeview viewers to enjoy Premier League football (Sky 1 & 2 and ESPN), on its i-CAN Easy HD DVB-T2 set-top box. i-CAN is a retail brand of Advanced Digital Broadcast.

The i-CAN Easy HD already enables UK residents living in Freeview HD areas to watch high definition channels, BBC iPlayer’s catch-up content including high definition programmes, as well as around 50 standard definition Freeview channels. The deal with Top Up TV makes the i-CAN Easy HD the only DVB-T2 box on the market that enables viewers to access premium sports channels from Sky and ESPN.

Top Up TV-enabled i-CAN Easy HD set-top boxes go on sale in the next couple of weeks via some of the UK’s leading electrical retail outlets.
