Charter to sell digital cable, high-speed Internet and telephone services in over 700 Wal-Mart stores covering 93 percent of Charter’s territory

St. Louis, Missouri — Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) (“Charter” or the “Company”) announced today it will make its services available to consumers in over 700 Wal-Mart stores covering 93 percent of Charter’s territory.

“Charter is committed, just as Wal-Mart is, to bringing value to our customers,” said Jeff Cox, Vice President of Sales Channels for Charter Communications. “Wal-Mart customers now have the convenience of signing up for the Charter Bundle of services – digital cable, high-speed Internet, and telephone – to complete their purchase of home electronics.”

Mr. Cox continued, “As Wal-Mart is expanding its offerings of high-definition televisions, computers and other products, we hope to compliment the customer’s purchase with our services. For example, many consumers are unaware when they buy an HDTV, a high-definition source is also required in order to realize the full high-definition experience. In this case, Charter is the source that completes the product offering.”

Charter digital cable makes a vast array of advanced services possible, including digital video recording (DVR), video on demand, and high definition. Charter high-speed Internet is available at speeds of up to 10 Mbps, the highest speed available in many of the markets it serves. And with Charter telephone, customers can keep their existing phone number and enjoy 10 popular calling features at no additional charge. Charter’s services are available in the Wal-Mart Connection Centers.

With the completion of the Wal-Mart roll-out, Charter now has a presence in over 1000 national retail and Charter-owned sales and service centers.
