Uzbekistan opens set-top box factory
Saturday, August 28th, 2010According to the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI), Telecom Innovations Ltd, a company jointly owned by Servetechno of Singapore and local companies Uzbektelecom and Telmax Elektroniks, has begun production of MPEG-4 set-top boxes in the Navoi free trade zone (FIEZ Navoi) in Uzbekistan.
The factory has a capacity of 50,000 units per year.
