Meet Motama’s team of experts and experience hands-on demonstrations of their new products at the IBC exhibition in

SAARBRÃœCKEN, Germany — Each September, IBC takes place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. IBC is the leading annual event for professionals involved in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment content.

Motama’s newest products for IPTV and networked multimedia applications will be shown at the ‘Connected World’ of IBC at booth IP421 in hall 9.

Middleware for networked and cross-platform applications: Motama’s key technology is called Network-Integrated Multimedia Middleware (NMM) and provides a ground-breaking new software solution that truly operates cross-platform: arbitrary devices and networking technologies can be connected and controlled to seamlessly integrate their features as new ‘virtual’ devices. These features will be demonstrated with a 3D home entertainment center for set-top boxes and a video wall for digital signage.

Best-of-Breed Codecs: Motama introduces its new codec program that makes available only the best codecs from leading suppliers, fully integrated into the NMM software, for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. This includes decoders and encoders for today’s popular formats such as MP3, AAC, AMR, MPEG-2 Audio/Video, H.264/AVC, MPEG-4 Video, JPEG 2000, MJPEG, VC-1, and others.

IPTV servers: TVCaster by Motama represents the next generation of IPTV server appliances. TVCaster is a turn-key solution offering all cutting-edge functionality you expect from an integrated DVB receiver, descrambler, remultiplexer, and IP streaming server. In addition, TVCaster offers advanced features, such as ultra-fast channel switching for individual users, integrated video recorder, extended streaming protocols, and clustering support. This all comes with unmatched openness and full programmability that allows you to seamlessly integrate the TVCaster appliance into your IPTV workflow.

Optimized and adaptive streaming for wireless IPTV clients: Today’s wireless infrastructures often do not support multicast networking and are inherently affected by packet loss. Together, this limits users’ acceptance. The Recaster server appliance by Motama overcomes these limitations. It re-casts optimized streams to wireless clients and runs adaptive streaming protocols for IPTV. Together, this allows for decreasing the packet loss and thereby greatly increases the Quality of Experience for users in wireless networks.

Connected World: Also do not miss to attend Motama’s demonstration ‘Seamless handover and synchronized rendering of audio/video across different connected devices’ at the Connected World Demo Stage in Hall 9 on Monday September 13, from 15:30 to 15:45.
