TTNET selects AirTies' gateway and set-top box solutions for IPTV roll-out in Turkey

ISTANBUL — AirTies, the innovative wireless home networking vendor, today announced that it has been selected by TTNET to provide its high definition IP set-top box and wireless ADSL gateway devices to support TTNET’s IPTV service; IPtivibu and wireless services that TTNET provides both its corporate and individual customers across 81 cities. TTNET will deploy AirTies’ high definition Air 7120 set-top boxes and WAV-275, an all-in-one ADSL2 Modem and VoIP Residential Gateway solution.

Following extensive field testing, the Air 7120 and WAV-275 devices will be first deployed by TTNET to offer its IPTV services within Turkey, to deliver personalised IPTV services to TTNET’s ADSL customers over 6 million. The Air 7120 is available with NAND flash to enable pause-live TV functionality as standard. The WAV-275 provides a fast and powerful platform for both voice and data communication, allowing the user to make phone calls over the Internet using a VoIP service provider.

The Air 7120 set-top-box can be connected to the WAV-275 residential gateway with a cable or wirelessly via AirTies’ Air 4420 video bridge. The Air 4420 allows high-definition video to be distributed across the home wirelessly with cable-grade high quality of experience and enables the sharing of personal content like photos, music, and videos seamlessly and wirelessly between all network devices.
