Belarus plans DVB-T2 broadcasting trial
Tuesday, March 29th, 2011Belarusian telecommunications company OJSC «Giprosvjaz» (ГипроÑвÑзь) has announced that it is working on frequency plans for the second and third phases of the country’s move to digital terrestrial television (DTT) broadcasting.
As part of the project, in the May-June 2011 timeframe, Giprosvjaz plans to conduct DVB-T2 DTT trials in partnership with the State Supervisory Department for Telecommunications of the Republic of Belarus (BelGIE – БелГИЭ), Beltelecom (Белтелеком) and the Belarusian Radio-Television Broadcasting Centre (BRTBC – БРТПЦ).
