MSTAR enters the arena of NAGRA On-Chip Security (NOCS) certified Chipsets

HSINCHU — MStar Semiconductor (3697.TW), the worldwide leader of TV solutions, confirms it has just passed NAGRA (SIX:KUD.S) chipset certification and provides now a NOCS 1.2-ready solution.

This certification and the first productions confirmed that MStar strengths and leadership are not only focused on TV solutions and Free-to-Air STBs but also on an operator’s business with secure and cost effective solutions,” said Philippe Notton, DTV marketing director. “The combination of MStar’s state-of-the-art expertise in terms of broadband TV and MStar’s broadcast Pay-TV STB will be the key to MStar’s forthcoming STB growth.”

This solution is available now for mass production, and is already deployed and suitable for Standard and High Definition Set-Top Boxes, as well as for IP, Cable, Terrestrial and Satellite networks.
