India's KCCL selects Conax security for digitization of its cable TV operations

Conax will provide the Kerela cable operators with smooth migration to a digital environment and enable flexible integration of new services

MUMBAI — Conax, a leading global provider of solutions for protecting multi-device digital content, today announced it has entered a strategic contract with Kerela Communicators Cable Limited (KCCL). With upcoming digitization measure, the content security provider will deliver the organization’s 200 cable TV operators with cost effective and flexible content security solutions for enabling smooth digital migration and advanced service offerings. Today the KCCL operators represent 70% of cable TV services in the vast south-west Indian state.

Located on the Malabar Coast of south-west India, KCCL is an initiative of the cable TV operators in Kerela within the umbrella of the Cable Operators Association (COA). Kerela is a top tourist destination in India, named one of the “ten paradises of the world” by [16] National Geographic Traveler magazine. Conax will guide the Kerela cable TV operators in navigating the new digital landscape, integrating new product offerings and obtaining secure distribution of both multi-device of premium content.
