Indonesia's Central Tivi Digital Leverages Irdeto Customer Central to Deliver Superior Customer Care

Irdeto’s solution supports growth initiatives by Indonesia’s newest pay TV operator by enabling faster service launches, superior customer care and flexible billing

INDONESIA — Irdeto (JSE: NPN), a global software security and media technology company, today announced that Indonesia’s direct-to-home (DTH) operator PT Central Tivi Digital has deployed Irdeto Customer Central, a fully-integrated customer care and billing solution. PT Central Tivi Digital launched its pay TV services offering, commercially known as “Centrin TV” in Indonesia during the second half of 2011. Centrin TV is currently relying on Irdeto Customer Central to manage and increase its subscriber base in Indonesia, the largest pay TV market in Southeast Asia.

Indonesia’s pay TV market surpassed two million in 2011 and is anticipated to reach 2.5 million subscribers in 2012, according to CASBAA. Analyst firm Pyramid Research currently estimates pay TV penetration in Indonesia to be four percent (4%) and forecasts that number will increase to near seven percent (7%) by 2015.
