Comcast Reports 2nd Quarter 2012 Results

PHILADELPHIA — Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA, CMCSK) today reported results for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

Cable Communications – Customers

In the second quarter, combined Video, High-Speed Internet and Voice customers increased by 138,000, a 40.1% increase compared to second quarter 2011 net additions. As of June 30, 2012, Video, High-Speed Internet and Voice customers totaled 50.5 million, an increase of 1.4 million or 2.8% over last year’s second quarter.

In the quarter, Video customers declined by 176,000 to 22.118 million. However, Digital Video penetration increased from 93.0% to 94.5%, so digital video subscribers rose by 159,000.
