httv to demonstrate STB software on ST chipsets at CSTB 2013

At CSTB 2013 edition, ST Microelectronics will demonstrate httv’s open middleware “httvLink”, implemented with its new SoC family

At the occasion of the CSTB 2013, httv is pleased to present its STB software product httvLink implemented on STMicroelectronics new STB chipsets family STiH207 and its derivatives STiH237, STiH239 and STiH273. The joint solution offers an innovative and cost-efficient connected TV product for the pay-TV market. ST Microelectronics will showcase httvLink on its booth during the show.
httvLink is an innovative open middleware solution for Connected TV receivers.

It addresses all Digital TV platforms: from Terrestrial, Cable & Satellite to hybrid and pure IP (IPTV, OTT). This hybrid DVB/IP embedded software, allows to benefit from all the different means of connectivity: OTT services (VOD, Catch-up TV), HbbTV interactivity, hybrid EPG, multi-screen, etc.

Based on Linux and HTML 5, httvLink is pre-integrated and tested on key TV chipsets vendor and on major CAS solutions as Viacess-Orca or Nagra. This new ST SOC platform enables operators and retailers to have cost-effective STBs with advanced Internet-based services for price-sensitive markets.

This chipset family implements advanced security schemes such as NSK2 or NOCS3 to support the latest key CAS solutions required for PayTV markets. With the httvLink software implemented on this range of ST chipsets, manufacturers and operators will be able to launch powerful and cost-effective connected-TV platforms for mass production.

ST Microelectronics will showcase httvLink on the CSTB exhibition in Moscow on its booth n°407 in the hall 4. Mr. Tommasi, httv’s EMEA sales director, will be available for meetings at the CSTB.
