Vipnet offering digital satellite television as of today

After acquiring in March of this year one hundred percent ownership in the company Digi TV, one of the first digital television service providers in the Croatian market, Vipnet has gone a step further and is offering its customers another service – Vip SAT TV. It is a digital satellite television service that uses DTH (Direct to Home) technology available throughout the entire territory of the Republic of Croatia.

Available to customers is the Basic package that includes 44 television and 28 radio channels, as well as the Extended package that provides an additional 26 television channels. Vip SAT TV is activated by signing a contract at any Vip sales center or by calling Vip Customer Service at the toll free number 0800 091 091, while customers have the option of activating the service without or with a 12 or 24 month contract.

If the service is activated without signing a contract, the monthly fee of the Basic package amounts to 78.50 HRK, and the Extended package will be provided for free of charge for the first year. Vip SAT TV with a 12 month contract provides customers with a 50% discount on the Basic package, while the Extended package is provided for free, so that throughout the 12 months customers pay a monthly fee of 39.25 HRK.

With the 24 month contract, Vip SAT TV customers will also be provided a 50% discount on the Basic package and the Extended package for free for the first 12 months of use, so that customers will pay a monthly fee of 39.25 HRK for the first 12 months, while for the second 12 months they will pay 118.50 HRK (78.50 HRK for the Basic and 40.00 HRK for the Extended package). With a contract, customers will also receive significant discounts during the installation of equipment.

KThe use of Vip SAT TV is quite simple. All that is necessary is a satellite antenna, receiver and smart card, which customers rent, and the price for this is included in the monthly fee for the Vip SAT TV service. The antenna must be installed and directed at INTEL-SAT 10-02, located at the orbital position 1°W (west).
