Canal Digital DTH down 3 thousand subscribers in 2Q 2013
Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013Telenor Group has reported results for the second quarter of 2013. The company finished the period with 934,000 subscribers to its Canal Digital pay TV services, down from 945,000 at the end of 2012 and down 3 thousand in the quarter.
Fixed operations
Telenor offers TV services over fibre and cable in Norway and Sweden.

Canal Digital
Revenues in Canal Digital DTH increased by 1% as higher average revenue per customer and currency effects was only partly offset by reduced hardware sales and effects of a lower DTH subscriber base.
Canal Digital DTH consists of revenues from Nordic DTH subscribers, households in SMATV networks and DTT subscribers in Finland.

Conax
Revenues in Conax increased by 14% due to more smart card sales. EBITDA remained stable as operating cost increased and more sales in low price markets resulted in declining average price and gross margin per card.
