Beaver Valley Cable selects Minerva's iTVFusion platform

ALVISO, CA – Minerva Networks, a leading provider of software solutions for the delivery of television services over broadband networks, announced today that Beaver Valley Cable has selected Minerva’s award winning iTVFusion service management platform to power its next generation pay TV service. In conjunction with Entone’s line of hybrid CATV devices, Beaver Valley will be able to cost-effectively offer their customers new features and a compelling user experience that will include whole home DVR, interactive EPG, and over-the-top (OTT) services.

Beaver Valley is a regional cable service provider based in Rome, PA that provides voice, video, and broadband data services to its subscribers over a hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) network. With the joint solution from Minerva and Entone, Beaver Valley will be able to continue delivering existing services to their installed subscriber base, while offering subscribers a new compelling user experience without making costly upgrades to their access network. Live services will continue to be delivered over quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), with support for OTT integration and VOD being supported via IP.
