Qplay moves into mainstream with addition of Chromecast support

  • Infinite Qs of Internet Video Now Offered to Millions of TVs

SAN JOSE, CA. — Qplay, the new video entertainment experience, today announced support for Google’s Chromecast media streaming device, expanding TV viewing options for bringing infinite Qs of short form video to the masses.

Qplay is a “put your feet up,” TV-like experience that is easy to use and optimized for both the iPad and TV. The addition of Chromecast support expands the breadth of the company’s offering as it moves into the mainstream market. Google’s popular Chromecast device offers an inexpensive option for consumers to add “watch on TV” capability to their Qs.

“Creating a fun and entertaining experience from short-form video, delivered over the Internet, is the next wave in consumer video entertainment. Our goal is to bring this experience to a mass audience in both unique and familiar ways. That’s why integration with the TV we know and love is so important,” said Mike Ramsay, Executive Chairman & Co-Founder of Qplay.

Qplay’s app and service work together with TV connected hardware to make an entertainment experience that is personalized. Over 100,000 Qs provide extensive content from all over the web and videos play back-to-back infinitely. Qplay will continue to support its current TV Adapter in addition to the Chromecast device.
