Turkcell Introduces the Future of TV with Its Expanded Turkcell TV+

ISTANBUL — Turkey’s leading telecommunications and technology company Turkcell (NYSE: TKC, BIST: TCELL) announced that it is taking its television platform Turkcell TV+ to the next level and introduced the future of TV in Turkey. Turkcell TV+, which was previously offered only on mobile devices and computers, will now be available on television sets.

Subscribers can now enjoy seamless multi-screen TV experience, alternating between four screens – smartphone, tablet, computer and TV – as they wish. The new platform is launched with superior features including time-shift option which allows user to rewind programs up to 12 hours, cloud recording, simultaneous recording of multiple channels, customizable content and social media access.

Turkcell TV+ supported by superior Turkcell 3G and Turkcell Superonline fiber network

Subscribers can enjoy Turkcell TV+ on smartphones and tablets with Turkcell’s superior 3G technology via Turkcell TV+ apps. Turkcell Superonline’s ultra-fast fiber internet will support the service on television sets through a Turkcell TV+ box. Turkcell Superonline was one of the first 5 operators globally to offer 1000 Mbps fiber to the home, and is still the only operator in Turkey that offers this speed.

Speaking to new TV-watching habits including social media

With Turkcell Tv+, Turkcell and Turkcell Superonline carry their cloud services into a new area: Instead of recording on TV devices, users will be able to record programs on the cloud, enabling easy access to saved programs from any of the four devices anywhere, anytime. Turkcell TV+ offers real personalization of TV experience. Users can create their own customized channels by making personal playlists with “select- and-watch” tool.
