Netflix comes to YouView set-top boxes in the UK

Netflix now on YouView

Netflix, the world’s largest internet TV network, is now available on YouView. Netflix offers easy, instant access to a wide variety of TV box sets, films, comedy specials, documentaries and children’s programming directly on their TV sets through the UK’s fastest growing connected TV platform, YouView.

The ever growing selection of titles available on Netflix can be discovered via YouView’s seamlessly integrated search function, making it easy to find the TV and movies you love.

Available to watch today are complete TV box sets including Breaking Bad, The Originals, Homeland and Netflix original series such as Orange is the New Black, House of Cards and Bojack Horseman. Coming up on 12 December, the highly anticipated new Netflix original series Marco Polo. Films available to watch instantly on Netflix include The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Skyfall and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with more movie treats coming soon.

Existing Netflix subscribers can login to the player by entering their Netflix username and password using the YouView remote control.

YouView now offers all the major UK on demand players which include BBC iPlayer, 4OD, ITV Player, Demand 5, Milkshake, UKTV, Quest from Discovery, NOW TV from Sky and Sky Store giving customers a variety of choice and the flexibility to enjoy both free and paid content as required. Along with thousands of hours of on demand content already available on YouView.

YouView, which pioneered an easy-to-use TV service that seamlessly combines live and catch up television, has passed well over 1 million connected UK homes and has seen industry leading levels of satisfaction and VOD usage. YouView continues to target a long term goal of 10 million connected homes.

Netflix is available today on YouView from BT set-top boxes and Humax set-top boxes purchased from a retailer. BT TV customers, who sign up for Netflix alongside BT broadband and TV offers, will have the added convenience of paying for Netflix via their BT bill, a world first for Netflix. YouView from TalkTalk set-top boxes and Huawei retail set-top boxes will receive this update early in the new year.
