Telekom Malaysia launches HyppTV Everywhere mobile app

HyppTV launch​e​​s new and enchanced HyppTV Everywhere app for Malaysian mobile device and PC users

KUALA LUMPUR — Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) via its award-winning IPTV service, HyppTV has now further enhanced its offerings by making it available to all members of the public via the HyppTV Everywhere mobile app. This new feature allows customers to use their mobile devices to enjoy the exclusive world-class channels available on HyppTV platform even though they are not subscribing to TM’s UniFi or Streamyx packages.

With the introduction of this new offering, TM expects to attract more viewers amongst tech-savvy Gen-Y segment who are the largest consumers of mobile entertainment & content while at the same time enabling more Malaysians to watch HyppTV anywhere and anytime, true to TM’s aspiration of delivering enhanced integrated digital lifestyle to Malaysians nationwide.

Emily Wee, Vice President, Business & Media Operations, New Media, TM said, “To kick off the introduction of this new service, we are offering a 7-day free viewing period of the channels on offer. Taking the best features of HyppTV, such as weather-proof entertainment, flexibility in terms of paying for only what you want to watch, HyppTV Everywhere now makes it more convenient for customers to enjoy their content when they are on the move.”

The content available on HyppTV Everywhere includes world class entertainment shows from the high rated TV series such as Gotham, MOM, Selfie and Murder In The First from WarnerTV HD and top rated comedy programmes such as Saturday Night Live and South Park from Comedy Central HD. Also available is HyppTV’s own Bahasa Malaysia general entertainment channel, HyppSensasi, featuring first and exclusive drama series including Cahaya Di Hujung Nyawa, Permainan Cinta and Selipar Jepun Stiletto Merah, not to mention telemovies and game shows such as the all-new Tu Dia game show, hosted by Aliff Satar, Farish Aziz and Zoey Rahman.

The 7-day free viewing period is available to customers who downloaded the app from Google Play Store for Android device users and Apple App Store for iOS devices. Alternatively customers can also enjoy the service by visiting HyppTV Everywhere website. At the end of the free viewing period, they have the option to subscribe to their favorite channels either on a-la-carte basis or subscribe to the Everywhere Pack, which allows them to bundle any three (3) channels of their choice at only RM15 per month.
