Videocon d2h launches India's first 4K Ultra HD channel

Rolls out India’s First 24 Hours 4K Ultra HD Multi-genre Channel on the Occasion of Republic Day

MUMBAI — Videocon d2h, the first in India to have successfully previewed 4K Ultra HD DTH Service in July 2014, has now launched 24 hours 4K Ultra HD multi-genre channel on 26th January 2015 which will take the viewing experience to the next level. The 4K Ultra HD Channel is a content pipe that may carry multi-genre feed like movies, video-on-demand, travel, infotainment, sports etc. provided by respective international broadcasters or independent content providers. Along with this feed Videocon d2h 4K UHD consumers will also get to watch the forthcoming cricket World Cup in 4K provided by the respective broadcaster.

After successful launch of 4K Ultra HD set top box, Videocon d2h now completes the 4K Ultra HD experience of consumers on their existing 4K LED TV by providing this 24-hour channel. The Videocon d2h 4K Ultra HD DTH set top box is available across its retail trade network and its official website www.videocond2h.com. Exciting upgrade/multiroom offers are also available for existing subscribers of Videocon d2h.

The 4K Ultra HD on Videocon d2h is a technological marvel since it has 4 times better resolution than Full HD and is 27 times the normal Standard Definition picture quality. The technology provides resolution of more than 8 million pixels, which results in a better clarity and breathtaking visual sharpness. This move once again underlines the commitment on the part of Videocon d2h to constantly innovate and provide top-of-the-line services and products to its customers.
