  • Inspur and Shandong Cable Deliver Ultra HD Content to Millions of Cable Subscribers

IRVINE, Calif. — Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ: BRCM), a global innovation leader in semiconductor solutions for wired and wireless communications, today announced that Inspur Group, Shandong Cable Network’s primary systems integrator, has selected Broadcom’s Ultra HD system-on-chip (SoC) and Wi-Fi SoC for a new line of 4Kp60 cable set-top boxes (STBs). Leveraging Broadcom’s latest compression and decoding technology, Inspur’s Ultra HD STB delivers fluid 60 frame-per-second (fps) video with vivid 10-bit color to subscribers at 4X the resolution of conventional HD displays.
