SMI certifies Montage Technology STB SoC

Montage Advanced Security Chipset M88CC6100/6000 Achieves SMI Chip Certification

SHANGHAI and WESTMINSTER, Calif. — Montage Technology, a global leading set-top box (STB) solutions provider and SypherMedia International Inc. (SMI), a security technology solutions and services provider, today announced jointly that Montage has achieved SMI’s advanced security certification on its HD Decode SoC M88CC6100/6000. SMI has also validated Montage on Black Box Programming compliance tests for the M88CC6100/6000 certification and production.

M88CC6100/6000 is Montage’s latest generation of H.264 HD decode SoC series equipped with advanced security hardware implementation. Montage’s H.264 SD solutions for the emerging markets, such as India, are also included in the M88CC6100/6000 series and have received the certification as well. With the advanced security validation by SMI, M88CC6100/6000 has been used for Cable, Satellite, and Terrestrial Pay-TV markets.
