Charter Launches Spectrum TV App as a Channel on Roku Platform

STAMFORD, Conn. — Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR) and Roku Inc. today announced that the Spectrum TV App is now available as a channel on Roku® players and Roku TVs in the U.S. Charter TV customers now have the ability to stream content included in their Spectrum TV service to any television in their home connected to a Roku device.

“We are excited to bring our customers greater flexibility and choice by enabling them to use their Roku devices to access television content through the Spectrum TV App,” said Tom Rutledge, President and CEO of Charter Communications. “We will continue to add greater functionality to the channel on Roku devices, including On Demand, and plan to make Spectrum TV available on additional consumer electronic set-top boxes and screens.”

Spectrum TV will be available on Roku streaming players, the Roku Streaming Stick and Roku TV models. The Spectrum TV App is also available on iOS and Android devices. To date the Spectrum TV App has been downloaded over 1.4 million times. The Spectrum TV app for iOS and Android provides Charter TV customers with access to approximately 160 Spectrum TV television channels and over 9,000 on demand titles.

Charter currently serves customers in the following 28 states: Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
