ACCESS and Verimatrix extend Partnership to enhance Multiscreen Synergy

  • The two companies have joined forces to offer solutions combining the multiscreen media sharing, management and big data functionality of ACCESS Twine™ with proven revenue security from Verimatrix VCAS™ and ViewRight®

OBERHAUSEN, Germany — ACCESS CO., LTD today announced that it has extended its partnership with Verimatrix to enhance and secure the convergence of traditional broadcast infrastructure and IP services. As more devices enter the multiscreen mix, security has become a core component of rights negotiation. The collaboration between ACCESS and Verimatrix enables operators to deploy multiscreen systems that comply with the latest studio requirements, such as secure content redistribution from a gateway to devices connected over any network.

“We have been working with Verimatrix in projects with our embedded browser and media sharing solutions for a number of years and the synergy between our solutions has increased since the launch of our multiscreen management platform ACCESS Twine™,” said Dr. Neale Foster, COO and VP Global Sales, ACCESS Europe. “We both believe that operators of all sizes, both traditional and IP pure-players, need solutions that enable them to offer a seamless and secure experience across all screens. The combination of ACCESS Twine™ with the Verimatrix VCAS™ and ViewRight® revenue security solutions achieves exactly that.”

The joint solution provides operators with a range of new services and consumer offerings:

  • Operators benefit from the advanced security level that studios now expect
  • Operators can gather viewing data for recommendations, advertising and marketing
  • Operators can combine content from OTT third parties to retain and extend user engagement
  • Consumers can access content through a harmonized UX on all devices
  • Consumers can use their familiar operator services in and out of the home

“Operators now want to ensure that consumers can access multiple content sources via their branded platform, which can create significant security and UI challenges,” states Steve Oetegenn, President, Verimatrix. “Our extended collaboration with ACCESS enables operators to make sense of today’s multiscreen, multi-DRM world without compromising on content protection or personalisation.”
