NEOTION first implementer of NXP ZigBee 3.0 software

AUBAGNE, France — NEOTION, a technology leader specialised in delivering secure devices for the Digital TV industry, today announced the first implementation of the NXP ZigBee 3.0 software SDK for its new smart home solution.

Offering a complete and secure smart home solution under its “Neohome” brand, NEOTION has embedded the latest ZigBee 3.0 technology from NXP into its high-end home automation gateway. This latest version of ZigBee uses the most advanced version of the ZigBee Pro Mesh network, ZigBee Pro 2015, using the globally available 2.4 GHz unlicensed band and unique Green Power support for energy harvesting devices. Based on the ZigBee 3.0, NEOTION brings to its customers an advanced and ready-to-deploy home automation solution, with scalable security features to best fit their end-users’ expectations.

NXP Semiconductor today released the industry’s first software SDK for ZigBee 3.0. The NXP ZigBee 3.0 software is available for JN5169, JN5168 and JN5164 microcontrollers. With the ZigBee 3.0 SDK, home automation developers and operators can further explore new product development for Smart Home, Smart Appliances in domestic and commercial environments including lighting, HVAC and security devices.
