Pirelli selected by Alice France as the new supplier for triple-play gateways

Alice picks Pirelli innovative Gateway to give broadband subscribers more Services at home through its triple-play offer

PARIS/MILAN — Pirelli Broadband Solutions, the broadband access company of the Pirelli Group, and Alice France, the French broadband access Provider of Telecom Italia, have signed an agreement for the supply of broadband Gateways in the frame of the latest ADSL2+ and FTTH access offers.

Under the terms of the agreement, Pirelli will provide to the French market the new AliceBox generation DRG-AE225G for Telecom Italia’s high-speed broadband commercial offerings.

This new generation of AliceBox will enable broadband and media center applications such as very high-speed Internet access, VoIP telephony, IPTV and Wi-Fi connectivity with automatic set-up and sharing of an external USB storage device or printer from any point of the home network. Like all Pirelli devices, this new Gateway for Alice is remotely manageable and includes sophisticated Quality of Service capabilities.
