OWNZONES Media Network And UPC Romania Launch OWNZONES Passport Romania App

  • The users of the app will have access to original video programs with top international and local influencers and Hollywood Movies exclusively in UPC HORIZON platform

BUCHAREST, Romania — OWNZONES Media Network (OMN), a global technology, distribution and content provider serving the OTT market, and UPC Romania, part of Liberty Global, announced the launch of OWNZONES Passport Romania, a new premium application service. Available exclusively to subscribers equipped with Horizon advanced set-top box, the new service debuts with a slate of original series featuring top Romanian and U.S. celebrity influencers, local millennial-focused news and a rich offering of top Hollywood feature films.

OMN is leading all programming for the new platform, including production of four millennial-focused original series featuring Romanian celebrities Anna Lesko, Adelina Pestritu, Paul Siserman and Catalin Botezatu. These offerings will be augmented by existing OWNZONES.com original series like “Chloe on Pointe,” with former “Dance Moms” breakout star Chloe Lukasiak, and “Hollywood DIY with How2Girl Courtney Sixx.” Through its partnership with Circa, the fast growing mobile-friendly, video driven news and entertainment portal, OWNZONES will set up a dedicated news bureau with a Bucharest-based correspondent, who will file breaking news, documentaries, lifestyle reports on a daily basis.

The service will also launch with a curated selection of Hollywood feature films, including a Star Trek movie collection and William Shatner’s exclusive documentary series, “The Captains.”
