SINGAPORE — DOCOMO PACIFIC, INC. is partnering with ARRIS International, plc (NASDAQ: ARRS) to offer an advanced whole home TV service—featuring live, on demand, and streaming capabilities—for its customers in Guam and the Mariana Islands.

DOCOMO PACIFIC selected ARRIS’s MG1 video gateway to enable the new services. The MG1 lets subscribers stream the same content to multiple IP devices—in addition to the main TV—while its DVR enables recording for up to six shows at a time and playback at home and on the go.

DOCOMO PACIFIC also selected ARRIS’s industry-leading E6000® Converged Edge Router to power its newly launched 100Mbps high-speed broadband service and establish a pathway to gigabit speeds.

“ARRIS’s global expertise and proven solutions enable us to meet our subscribers’ ever-increasing demand for advanced TV and broadband services,” said Jonathan Kriegel, President and CEO at DOCOMO PACIFIC, INC. “ARRIS’s MG1 video gateways and E6000 CER let our subscribers enjoy new, whole-home TV and high-speed broadband services, and provide us with an upgrade path for maintaining our competitive advantage.”

“Our strategic deployments with DOCOMO PACIFIC highlight the importance of ARRIS’s global CPE and network solutions in addressing current and future trends in video and broadband delivery,” said Bill Ko, Vice President, Sales, Asia Pacific at ARRIS. “Our collaboration not only transforms how DOCOMO PACIFIC subscribers watch TV and connect to the internet, but sets the stage for delivering tomorrow’s services. Together, we’re powering the digital world for subscribers in Guam and the Mariana Islands.”
