BBC selects BuyDRM for encrypted playback on mobiles

AUSTIN, TX USA and LONDON, UK — BuyDRM™, a pioneer in Digital Rights Management (“DRM”) and Content Security Services, today announced that the BBC has chosen the BuyDRM KeyOS™ Multi-DRM Platform to provide DRM for its BBC iPlayer, BBC iPlayer Kids and BBC iPlayer Radio on-demand TV and radio products. Content on these services is secured using the KeyOS MultiPlay™ SDKs for encrypted playback of the BBC’s programs on mobile devices.
Using KeyOS MultiPlay SDKs, viewers and listeners will be able to enjoy programs using the BBC iPlayer, BBC iPlayer Radio and BBC iPlayer Kids apps on mobile devices.
