Globant brings Signal OTT to Microsoft Azure to help publishers reach and engage users across mobile and connected devices

SEATTLE — Today, Globant, a digitally native technology services company, announced the availability of Signal OTT, a leading platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offering on Microsoft Azure. This will help media houses and content publishers reach and engage users across device form factors and drive new revenue streams through delightful experiences.

Signal is based on an industry-standard, N-tiered, plug-in architecture that meets the unique certification requirements of each mobile or Connected TV platform. Signal provides an app CMS that enables real-time app updates, from style to content control. Signal also provides gaming tools, social interactions, comments, likes, and second screen tools to engage audiences.

“OTT adoption and streaming video consumption are growing massively, but developing and managing OTT apps are complex and expensive processes. Globant’s deep understanding and years of partnering with leading brands in the media and entertainment industry, when combined with our strong capabilities on Microsoft Azure, will allow us to accelerate delivery of rich digital experiences at scale,” said Russ Whitman, Managing Director at Globant Seattle.

“Signal simplifies the OTT workflow and allows companies to focus on their content and business vision. We’re thrilled to see how this product can now reach Microsoft Azure users. We can’t wait to see all we are able to accomplish together in the future,” said Diego Tártara, CTO Studios at Globant.

Signal is tightly integrated with Azure and uses Azure SQL Database, Microsoft Power BI, Azure Storage, and Azure Media Services.

“Through Signal OTT on Microsoft Azure, Globant brings compelling digital experiences to our customers, and we look forward to partnering to enhance customer experiences across devices and platforms,” said Sudheer Sirivara, General Manager, Azure Media, Microsoft Corp.
