Vewd Core products, hybrid TV, and media player modules make the perfect complement to Android TV on Realtek chipsets

OSLO, Norway — Vewd, the world’s largest independent provider of OTT software, today announced Realtek, one of the world’s leading semiconductor vendors, will pre-integrate Vewd’s signature smart TV technology and essential modules with their Android TV-based chipsets. These include Vewd Core, the leading independent HTML5 SDK for connected TV devices, and essential Core modules, including the award-winning hybrid TV module, industry-leading standalone media player, and Freeview Play support module.

More than 80% of the world’s Android TV-based smart TVs already ship with Vewd software, giving manufacturers complete peace-of-mind around being market-ready. World-class support for key hybrid TV technologies, including HbbTV 2, make Vewd Core the perfect complement to Android TV.
