Antenna Hungária has Selected SmartGate, the ENENSYS gateway solution for DVB-T and T2 network

RENNES — ENENSYS Technologies, leading provider of media delivery solutions, is proud to have played a key role in the success of Antenna Hungaria’s (AHRT) MinDig TV Extra service transition to DVB-T2.

For this important project, AHRT chose ENENSYS’ SmartGate solution, the unmatched DVB-T and DVB-T2 Gateway solution as required to implement Single Frequency Network. SmartGate has the key advantage of enabling seamless switching between the main system and the backup system, creating a fully-redundant, secure head-end. The SmartGate solution is built on more than 8 years of expertise in DVB-T2 gateway design and provides optimal system integration as well asa reduction of CAPEX and OPEX costs.

The new central HE will generate two DVB-T (MinDig) and three DVB-T2 (MinDig Extra) multiplexes – which have also been adapted for transmission in SFN. DVB-T multiplexes (MUX-A and -B) will carry FTA services still compressed in H.264 (MPEG-4/AVC), while DVB-T2 multiplexes (MUX-C, -D and -E) will contain the pay-tv services encoded in H.265 (HEVC).
