STARZPLAY available from UPC

WALLISELLEN — UPC is the first telecommunications provider in Switzerland to integrate the STARZPLAY streaming service. This provides customers and especially series fans with an ideal addition to the existing entertainment offerings. STARZPLAY has already produced top series like “The Spanish Princess”, “Spartacus” and “Hightown”. The range is supplemented by exclusive series such as “The Great” and “Normal People”, which will only be shown on STARZPLAY in Switzerland.

STARZPLAY, the international streaming service from the U.S. premium network STARZ, offers a wide range of STARZ Original series along with high-profile acquired TV series and feature films that are available exclusively on STARZPLAY. UPC customers have access to thousands of hours of television content and over 250 feature films, including the first season of the genre-bending series “The Great” with Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult, which recently premiered on the streaming service.

The new streaming service is available on the new UPC TV Box and is located in the “Movies & Series” section so that customers can access it directly in their TV menu. The UPC Giganet ensures the highest possible streaming quality. STARZPLAY content can of course also be viewed on the go via the UPC TV App.

Stefan Fuchs, Chief Commercial Officer at UPC, states: “We stand for entertainment. This is why we are constantly expanding our already extensive entertainment offering with many additional TV channels and the exclusive sports content of MySports. With STARZPLAY, we now offer an ideal addition, especially for fans of exclusive TV series – and currently we are the only telecom provider in Switzerland to do so.”

Superna Kalle, Executive Vice President, International Digital Networks, Starz states: “Joining forces with UPC, a leading entertainment company who has a proven track record of providing a quality customer experience, allows STARZPLAY to continue strengthening our global presence and reach this broad audience in Switzerland with our vast library of compelling series and films.”
