SAN FRANCISCO — Tubi, a division of FOX Entertainment, today announced it has been named a launch partner for the highly anticipated PlayStation 5. Viewers will have access to Tubi’s massive library of 26,000 movies and television series – all completely free – via direct integration in the PS5 search interface, and a Tubi featured row that will be available on the video home screen. In the future, Tubi will also offer viewers access to live streaming news, weather, and entertainment via News on Tubi – the company’s latest product featuring content from over 17 FOX stations in major markets, NBC News Now, Bloomberg, and many others.

“We’ve enjoyed a robust partnership with PlayStation and are thrilled to continue our synergy for the launch of its next-generation console,” said Andrea Clarke-Hall, Global Head of Business Development at Tubi. “The Tubi app will be one of a select number of turnkey downloads for PlayStation users, furthering our mission to provide easy access to premium content for everyone.”

With the addition of PlayStation 5, Tubi has one of the largest distribution footprints of any streaming service. The company recently announced record Monthly Active Users (MAU) reached 33 million in August, an increase of 65% year-over-year. With total view time surpassing 200 million hours of content streamed each month since April, Tubi has over 26,000 movies and television shows from over 250 content partners, including nearly every major studio. The service gives fans of films and television programs an easy way to discover new content that is available completely free.

In addition to PlayStation 5, Tubi is available on Android and iOS mobile devices, Amazon Echo Show, Google Nest Hub Max, Comcast Xfinity X1, Cox Contour, and on OTT devices such as Amazon Fire TV, Vizio TVs, Sony TVs, Samsung TVs, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox One, and soon on Hisense TVs globally. Consumers can also watch Tubi content on the web at http://www.tubi.tv/.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) recently revealed new details for PlayStation 5, including the next-generation console’s design and a deep lineup of brand-new games coming to the platform. The PS5™ hardware’s bold, two-tone design marks a radical departure from previous PlayStation consoles. PS5 will launch in two options: a standard model with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive, and a digital model without a disc drive, offering unprecedented choice at launch to gamers.
