SMiT to deliver a terrestrial HD STB operated by IWEDIA's Comedia middleware and secured by Viaccess' ACS 3.0

RENNES & PARIS (France), SHENZHEN (PRC) — SMiT (Shenzhen State Micro Technology), the international provider of digital TV devices, and a well-known supplier of Viaccess CAMs, today announced that it will be delivering a terrestrial high-definition set-top box operated by IWEDIA’s Comedia middleware and secured by Viaccess’ ACS 3.0.

The solution, initially aimed at the Swedish market, will be showcased at IBC ’08, which is taking place in Amsterdam from September 12th through 16th.

IWEDIA’s Comedia DVB middleware is a robust and field-proven software solution for operating digital TV devices.

Viaccess’ ACS 3.0 is a state-of-the art conditional access system for protecting digital TV content and pay TV revenues.
