MONTREAL, QUEBEC — SENSIO Technologies inc. (“SENSIO”) (TSX VENTURE:SIO), inventor of the SENSIO® 3D technology, announces the signature of a contract for the sale of licenses of its new S3D decoder product to ArcSoft, Inc. (“ArcSoft”), the world’s leading multimedia software provider. The S3D decoder, or “SENSIO Stereoscopic Software Decoder”, is a software version of the SENSIO® 3D decoder that has been sold for some years on the consumer electronic market. The S3D will be integrated to ArcSoft TotalMedia™ Theatre media player and will allow consumers to watch 3D movies on Blu-Ray or DVD on their computer. The new software application of the SENSIO(MD) 3D technology can indeed be integrated into any media player’s software and allows displaying 3D content on a computer equipped with a 2D or 3D screen.

“We are very proud to launch this new product which allows us to get into the PC market, representing a new growth target for SENSIO. Our market analysis leads us to believe that the entry of 3D on the consumer market will also take the PC route and we wanted to meet the demand by developing as a priority a simple and inexpensive solution that will allow the consumers to watch 3D movies at home, said Nicholas Routhier, President and CEO of SENSIO. As the industry of the electronics enters into the 3D technology era, we can now offer a complete range of solutions that are adapted to the needs of the various manufacturers in this field.”

“Our cooperation with SENSIO has been very successful. They have developed a simple software solution which can be smoothly integrated into the existing 2D media player architecture, offering an unmatched 3D quality on PC. This S3D software solution uses only the central run unit resources and is therefore not connected to any particular graphic card, making it easier for PC users to enjoy 3D through TotalMedia Theatre”, said George Tang, ArcSoft Vice President and General Manager of Video and Home Entertainment Group.

The terms of the agreement provide for royalty payments for each unit sold that includes an integrated S3D decoder. The financial terms of the agreement cannot be disclosed for reasons of competitiveness.
