Antenna Hungária and TechniSat Digital cooperate for MinDigTV

The set-top-box will also be available in a favorable installment construction

Antenna Hungária and TechniSat Digital starts a strategic partnership supplying DVB-T MPEG-4 HD digital terrestrial set-top-box from May 2009. The TechniSat box will join the MinDig TV sticker system as well, as the receiver was specially developed according to the technical requirements of Antenna Hungária.

Antenna Hungária and TechniSat Digital look forward to a successful business relationship in the digital terrestrial television (DVB-T). Antenna Hungária has won the tender for both digital terrestrial television and radio and got the operator license of 5 TV multiplexes and one radio multiplex from the National Communications Authority (NHH) valid for the next 12 years officially signed on September 5, 2008. The MinDig TV service was launched on December 1, 2008 with 3 transmission sites covering nearly 60% of the poulation.

TechniSat Digital will supply MinDigTV with the digital DVB-T MPEG-4 receiver TechniSat HDT4 from May 2009 which enables the reception of programs in SD and in HD quality and is hence prepared for receiving the encoded channels. As the receiver is specially developed according to the technical requirements of Antenna Hungária it will join the MinDigTV sticker system as well, which ensures the customers that the set-top-box is fully suitable for the reception of DVB-T signals.
