Magna releases DVR, VOD and Broadband Quarterly Report

Magna, part of the Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG), in its ‘MAGNA On-Demand Quarterly: April 2009’ report is forecasting that by 2014-end U.S. DVR subscriber households will reach 51.1 million (43% of TV households), up from 29.8 million (27% of TV households) as of the end of 2008.
Magna is also expecting that by 2014, true Video-on-Demand (as distinct from the simulated VOD offered by DBS providers DIRECTV and EchoStar) will reach 67.2 million households (approximately 56% of television households). This compares with 41.7 million VOD households (37% of total TV households) at the end of 2008.
