CANAL+ launches 'CANAL READY' label
Monday, April 27th, 2009PARIS — The CANAL+ Group (Paris: VIV) has announced the creation of CANAL READY, a label to be affixed to new TV equipment. The objective of the label is to reassure consumers at the time of purchase of the full compatibility of the equipment with CANAL+ products and services.
The CANAL READY label will be rolled-out by the summer of 2009 on set-top boxes for both satellite and terrestrial TV reception, and on televisions that are compliant with the CI Plus (CI+) standard.
The concept may subsequently be extended to other means of TV reception, such as PCs, game consoles and mobile phones.
