Kaonmedia moves to ANT Galio Platform for new Set-Top Boxes

Partnership extended for new product range

CAMBRIDGE — ANT plc (Reuters: ANTP.L, Bloomberg: ANTP.LN), the provider of software and services for the delivery of digital TV today announced that digital multimedia devices manufacturer, Kaonmedia has licensed the ANT Galio Client for its latest range of set-top boxes. The agreement will enable Kaonmedia to develop visually rich interactive multimedia services based on the ANT Galio Platform. The new range of set-top boxes will be targeted at the retail and operator markets and are due to launch in Q4 2009.

The selection of ANT Galio Client builds on an existing relationship between the two companies. Kaonmedia is an existing licensee of ANT Galio Browser which provides the presentation and control of TV applications and enhanced interactive services on its set-top boxes. The addition of the ANT Galio Client will provide an advanced control and management framework which will enable Kaonmedia to develop a range of DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2, IP and Hybrid configurations supporting both SD and HD services.
