Chile postpones analogue TV switch off to 2024
May 3, 2019 – The government of Chile has announced a revised plan for the implementation of digital television over the next four years. Under the plan, the expectation is that 80% of Chileans will have a digital signal by 2022.

Pay TV subscribers up 10.6% year-on-year in Chile in Q2
Sep 13, 2013 – Chile’s Subtel has released pay TV statistics to the end of June 2013. Versus the end of June 2012, satellite subscribers increased from 952,767 to 1,100,709 (up 15.5%) whereas wired (cable TV and IPTV) subscribers grew from 1,168,831 to 1,246,254 (up 6.6%).

Satellite TV subscribers pass the 1 million mark in Chile
Aug 1, 2013 – Chile's Subtel has released pay TV statistics for the country to the end of March 2013. From the end of March 2012, satellite subscribers increased from 943,844 to 1,039,535 (up 10.1%) whereas wired (cable TV and IPTV) subscribers only grew from 1,162,383 to 1,205,918 (up 3.7%).

265,000 pay TV subscribers added in Chile in 2010
Mar 31, 2011 – Chile's Subtel has releases pay TV statistics for 2010. During the year satellite subscribers increased from 661,000 to 853,000, whereas wired (cable TV and IPTV) subscribers grew from 1.003 million to 1.076 million.
