Sep 13, 2018 – Espial has announced that its Elevate Cloud IPTV Platform is available on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and ready for deployment with AWS Elemental services for cloud-based video processing and delivery. Working with AWS allows Espial to offer its customers a TV-as-a-Service solution on the cloud at scale.

U.S. viewing habits settling as spending and multiplatform usage drop
Apr 5, 2018 – Research from Parks Associates shows that U.S. broadband households report their average monthly expenditure on video entertainment outside of a pay-TV subscription has dropped from $29 in the past two years to $23 in the last half of 2017.

21% of U.S. pay TV households buy SVOD through their pay TV provider
Mar 28, 2018 – Research from Parks Associates shows that 21% of U.S. pay-TV subscribers say they subscribe to an online video service through their pay-TV provider, up from 10% a year ago. The research firm attributes this jump to the increasing number of partnerships between pay-TV and OTT providers.
