TRAI consults on roadmap to DTT in India
Jun 24, 2016 – The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released a Consultation Paper on digital terrestrial TV (DTT) broadcasting. The consultation will in part examine the feasibility of participation of the private sector in the growth of DTT.

India registers 3.33 million more DTH subscribers in 4Q 2015
May 18, 2016 – The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released performance indicators for the quarter ending December, 2015. The total number of registered and active subscribers being served by India's DTH operators was 84.80 million and 55.98 million respectively as on 31st December, 2015.

TRAI issues consultation paper on set-top box interoperability

Cable TV in India to be digital from January 1, 2016

India consults on DTH set-top box interoperability
Feb 27, 2015 – The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a draft Tariff Order (TO) for consultation with stakeholders. This draft TO prescribes a framework for commercial interoperability of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) offered by the Direct-to-Home (DTH) operators to their subscribers.

India registers 2.75 million additional DTH subscribers in 2Q 2014
Nov 7, 2014 – The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released telecoms statistics for the second quarter. The total number of DTH subscribers was 67.57 million registered and 38.24 million active at 30th June 2014.
