Entel launches DTH in Bolivia

Bolivia’s Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (Entel S.A.) has launched its Entel TV direct-to-home (DTH) satellite pay TV service with three packages of 20, 40 and 60 channels.
Entel TV is the first platform in Bolivia to provide digital television in high definition (HD). Transmission is in MPEG-4 format.
A personal video recorder (PVR) is available as part of the offering.
Entel expects to have 90,000 subscribers within a year.
